This Dell model is pretty good. Though I don't like the cooling system. The hot air is blown out from the back and the monitor hinge is blocking it

Are you going to be coding on the go? If so take the smaller HP.

Otherwise, they're identical spec wise so you can go with either. I'd pick whatever is cheaper, which right now is the HP I believe.

Only because it's the only option that can compile iPhone apps (and not break a ToS) and you're comparing it to a wide range of alternatives. It's not like Lenovo calls all Thinkpads a single model name, etc. It's not a reasonable comparison.

Just as an FYI, the 1080p panel is one of the worst TN panels I've ever had the displeasure of using. Viewing angles are absolutely atrocious. If that's not a problem for you then you should be good to go. Super powerful for the price.

The screen is not as good as I have expected. I would pay a little more for a touch screen, those are higher quality (though, you don't need to use the touch screen.
