I’m waiting for the UltraSharp to go on sale.

Do we have any idea when the UltraSharp U2723QE will be discounted? Hopefully I don’t have to wait all the way until Black Friday.

No idea. That's a whole another monitor from this S721QS though.

I have this monitor and it is plain "OK". Doesn't seem very bright and even advertised as 350 it looks similar to my lg that is 250nits. Contrast and HDR are abysmal. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I would pass on this all day unless it was around $225-$250 for a basic work monitor. Thanks OP for posting the deal nonetheless!

I have the same monitor. Bought in the last sale with same price when rakuten had 10%. It's been great so far.

Sums up how I feel about almost every monitor these days. Hoping to see stuff soon that's actually usable in a bright room with content that's dark. I have a bit of hope with OLED monitors coming out and whatnot (or just buying a 42" TV and using that as a monitor, because they still continue to be better).

Bought this monitor a while ago. No idea why it's on and off continuously when connecting to my M1 max MBP 16' with DP to USB-C cables (tried two brands, same issue). Had to use HDMI with slow start up time. But the display got “blurry" (don't know how to describe, it's show rainbow colours) right after one year (less than two months after the warranty expired to be specific).

Talked to Dell support and got kicked back and forth between monitor department and out-of-warranty department. They wouldn't quote me for fixing because they don't fix OOW monitors. Asked me to buy a new one. Eventually, Amex card saved me.

Done with Dell's monitor. Would try some other brands later.

Thank for you input.

I'm not sure there's really "good" brands now. Every brand have good and bad things going one with them. Looks like a lottery.

I wanted 2 4K/60Hz IPS monitor and it's the cheapest I found at the moment :/

As an aside, Lenovo has a 28" IPS for $350 on their website if you want the extra inch lol.

I've had 3 different "350 nit" monitors and they're all less bright than my 4 year old 1080p 250 nit LG 24". Mind you I don't ever use a monitor at 100% brightness but still it's notable for adjustments. I also have a P series Dell from work and returned a 27" S-Series 1440p and both are not as good colour/contrast-wise as the LGs I've had which let you adjust the black-levels and gamma directly on the monitor itself instead of having to go into graphics settings to tune.

Ultimately I found that 27" is too big a size for me after trying two and went back to 24" but I did get one 24" which is 2k and has a pixel density of 123 and found it to be a good compromise. Plus its colours are far better even without making a single modification than on any other IPS I've owned even after modification because it was a factory calibrated monitor for photo editors (BenQ BL2420PT which goes on sale for $310). Having a 4k monitor at 24" IPS would've been even nicer but can't find them in Canada for under $400.

I hear ya, I am currently using my 48" C1 as a monitor instead until I can find a decent deal on a new gen. The 42" LG Oled look niceeeee! My kids use the Dell and they still complain lol Good Luck on finding something!

Dell is a good brand. It's just this is an "S" model. This along with "SE" are Dell's bottom rung monitors. Quality starts at "P" and "U" series models.

Oh ok. Well, I'm learning all the time.

Any opinion regarding this Dell vs. those :

- LG 27UP600-W (325$)

- Acer V287K bmiipx (260$ refurb)
