[Dell] Dell 27 Gaming Monitor: S2719DGF (FreeSync) - $449.99

This monitor is on sale yet again for $449.99 from Reg $669. The coupon code 10%OFFMONITOR still works also to bring the price down to $404.99 before tax.

Plenty of RFDers in previous threads have liked this monitor.

Ebates has 6% off right now at Dell also. Not sure if all this is stackable though.

Good luck!

Also it's G-Sync compatible.

Since this monitor is always on "sale", I would wait for an even bigger ebates cashback for dell. They can swing from day to day so keep an eye, possibly wait until it hits 10% or 12% cashback if not in a hurry. Although sometimes dell lowers the "sale" to cancel out the extra cashback savings.

Might as well buy the G-Sync version for that price. I would never pay 500$ for a Freesync

You don't read so well eh?

This is fully g sync compatible.

I mean the hardware version of G-Sync, not the software version.

Too bad about the TN panel; can't see myself spending that much when it's not even VA.

TN is best for low response time and low price.

Yep, the rebate has been there for months, so I concur. When I bought it I had 10% from ebates. Took a while but finally got the cashback yesterday. I like the monitor, but I'm not sure yet if it has an issue. The monitor goes blank for a couple seconds and then recovers (it happens once in a while, maybe once every 12 hours on average). But my audio also stops? If audio stops during the black out, I think it means it's either my AVR or GPU.

Question on this though. Are not even IPS screen getting better response times nowadays? I know TN can do 1-2 response but I've seen IPS as low as 4 (could be BS?), with prices very much coming down.

I too would have a hard time forking this money over for an TN screen.

IPS with low response time is not even in the same price range.
Its like when someone posts a deal for a lease on a Hyundai and the first comment is "would be a good deal if this was an Audi." Well no shit.

The G-sync model is 494.99 before ebates (6% as of last night) so cost is 465 for a true G-sync model. I'd go with that for those running those cards.

I'm not familiar with freesync so I'm not aware of any cross compatibility with G-sync, although I'm not very informed so you may be able use a workaround.

I just bought a new rig and need a new monitor, but I'm still unsure of what to buy.

What the heck is this!?!
Got the monitor just a couple days ago and this has shown up a couple times already.
Lasts like maybe a minute and goes away. I've never seen anything like it on my old monitor.

Bought one locally used and I'm happy with it. Not getting huge fps, although I'm not playing many optimized games.

Had to check that G-sync was working as I've never used it before, but so far so good.
