[Dell] Dell 27 inch curved gaming monitor @ $249.99

Only 1080P but seems to have lots of positive reviews. I ordered one. Not shipping for a bit expected delivery end of Feb but thats ok. Three year exchange warranty free. Dell is a standup company. I have had lots of Dell laptops and service was always top notch. THey sent a tech to my house to replace a laptop screen that failed a test over the phone.

Not bad, actually G-Sync compatible and also freesync, 144hz, 350 nits brightness, has height and tilt stand. For the price I think its pretty good. Incoming "Oh it's only VA and not IPS" nerds

Apparently it requires a display port connection for gsync to function. Not included with the monitor. My laptop has mini display port and local bestbuy doesn't have a mini display to display out. Probably something I would need to buy online

Nah, more like "its 27" and 1080p, too pixelated for me"

Some people REALLY hate 27" at 1080p...

VA and IPS is somewhat irrelevant especially on a curved monitor and even more so on a monitor in general. You sit right in front of it, how off angle can you expect to be?

True but if you don't sit really close to the monitor it won't be that bad. Also 1080p 144hz is good cause I don't think many people would be playing at 1440p 144hz

lol to enable gsync you always needed a display port no, or for like 80-90 percent of the monitors currently in the market. The rest of the 10-20% are like very new monitors

Yeah, to use G-Sync you need to use display port but for freesync if you have an amd GPU you can use hdmi

Oh im not saying 1080p 27" is bad myself, just what the "consensus" is... 1080p 144hz would be pretty satisfying to me.

Ordered a monitor from Dell on boxing day, being "delayed" again and again, still haven't shipped yet.

It's mainly advantageous for gaming, such as less screen tear. You will also notice smooth web browsing or spreadsheet scrolling if they're part of the office work.
