The gaming version of this was recently available for the same price so unless you need one right now it would be better to get in your time machine and go back and buy that one... I mean it would be better to wait.

Dell alternates their monitor sales approximately every 6 weeks. You wouldn't be waiting long.

I bought the S3220DGF a year ago and have been using it for work and gaming - but the 2440 horizontal is just not enough for multi window viewing... first world problems :P

Going to separate work and gaming - make a dedicated gaming setup

If you aren't gaming, do not buy this over an IPS model IMO. I have two U3415W and they are magnificent for productivity.

For another $50 dollars why wouldn't you get the gaming version with 100 more nits of brightness and 165hz, no brainer to me. That grey would get to me too. Use coupon 10%OFFMONITOR to bring it down to $584.

I’m thinking of buying the gaming version S3422DWG.. but I’m waiting for Rakuten 8% cash back.
Is it worth it to wait or just get the 2% cash back. I’m worried I might miss the deal

It's ultra wide. You can't have 4k on it.

+2 for the U3415W and future variants.............

I picked up a used one off Kijiji early into the pandemic as I was working from home & needed a large screen for productivity.............the built-in hub to hook up 2 machines, built-in speakers and gorgeous display to watch movies is well worth the money.

My wife loved it so much I had to pick up a U3419W for her (she needed USB-C charging) - cost a crazy pretty penny but well worth it!

IMO I think 100hz is fine for casual gaming. I feel like most people always prefer 144hz but with this resolution I feel it might be hard to drive 144+ without a high end card or setting games to low/med. Good deal none the less!
