[Dell] Dell 34" Ultrawide Monitor S3422DWG ($438.83)

Pretty good deal for a 34" ultrawide, negatives seem to be the VA panel and no G-sync below 60fps but otherwise very good for gaming. I'm grabbing it for productivity purposes.

Price:
- base: $529.99
- coupon (10%OFFMONITOR): $52.99
- 8% rakuten: $38.16

Total before tax: $438.83

Edit: Dell is giving 6 months of disney+ codes with purchase! (https://www.dell.com/en-ca/lp/dellunive ... hool-Offer)

Got this when it was on sale last time but returned it.
Was a bit underwhelmed by the build quality and picture quality.

I have a 4 year old S2718D that is so much superior. I was hoping to get similar picture quality but on a bigger screen..

Same here, want bigger screen but have to return... the VA panel color washed out which not even compare to my 12 years old U2711 IPS panel...

I had recently gotten the S3221QS and was disappointed with the monitor overall. There were white flashes on the monitor when I was watching videos in dark mode in Chrome. I had high expectations (since I have been using Dell monitors for work for 5+ years) and hence was very surprised. Ultimately ended up returning it and am hesitant to invest in another S series monitor.

I've been torn about Dell's 34" for days. I'm now leaning towards Dell's 32GP83B-B $521.99( 32" flat ips with weak contrast but great colour) , and LG's Ultragear 31.5" ( 32GP838-B) $479.99 has weak contrast but great colour. Both these monitors are NSync compatible, have poor HDR but are great at gaming and office use. LG has a crappy 1 year warranty.

Thanks OP. Bought it yesterday as soon as I saw Rakuten % go up. It was 12% August 4.

Doing exactly this. Keeping one IPS for work that needs to be more colour accurate.

I got this last week to replace an old 32" QHD HP. Losing a bit of height was a worthwhile tradeoff for more width, great for productivity.

If you have an older laptop, it may not support this resolution. I had to get a USB-C hub with 4K@60hz to get it working on a Thinkpad T14 Gen 1.

Someone should do a side by side comparison with 1 Samsung Ark vs 10 Dell monitors in a circle experience lol

Is the 16:9 beside the UW or above?
any pics of the set up?

I'm looking to replace my 2 monitor set up with 1 UW, but would want to keep a dedicated 16:9 for esports gaming on the side.

I am running this side by side with dell s2721dgf an ips/hdr10 panel. Overall, looks good. Don't watch or play enough to use hdr10 on s2721dgf but you can definitely notice the difference between the two. Nothing really pops out on s3422dwg unlike on s2721dgf. But for regular work and gaming, with amount of more real estate 3422dwg have, s2721dgf stays off on my desk during most days.

I bought this one and I’m not in love with it, mostly because I don’t think it’s configured directly. I’m using it for productivity (spreadsheets and web browser reading) and find it hard to read. The text is a bit blurry for me and the colours are a bit dull. Has anyone experienced this? Don’t want to return it if there’s a simple solution Im missing.

Ive tried changing the resolution and the input. It’s connect to a MacBook Pro.
