[Dell] Dell 34" WQHD VA Panel Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor – S3422DWG - 537.74 + 10%OFFMONITOR + 8%Rakuten + 20% Amex = $403

Saw this deal a week ago in here but I think it expired, now it's back. delivery date as soon as next week YMMV
Can't find the old thread but kudos to whoever spotted it first!

-VA Panel, Curved, WQHD, 144Hz with DP 1.4
-400 nits

Use 10%OFFMONITOR for additional 10% off
Rakuten 8% CB for Dell Technologies for Work
Additional 20% if you have the amex dell for work deal

$549.99 + 20% Amex + 10% Coupon + 8% Rakuten CB = 403$ with taxes in BC

Edit1: Price drop to $537.74

It's not mind blowing specs, but it's hard to beat the price for something similar.

My Amex and Rakuten CB hasn't been posted but I saw DP of someone in the amex thread doing it by adding to cart -> rakuten link to the work page, checkout, then their credit is posted.

I bought this... my original order was on January 13th and I ended up cancelling and reordering in February out of frustration / price had gone down / quicker delivery on the re-order. It's been stuck in Ontario for over 1 week now that it's been picked up by Purolator. From my research it's a great monitor for the price point but Dell has been so slow it's taken away the joy of the upgrade. Wish I bought something in stock locally.

Because this is Red Flags, I complained and got $50 off. My total pre-tax was $444.99 so this is a good deal.

S2721DGF is IPS 27" flat screen. Totally different animal compared to this VA 34" ultra wide screen.

I actually have the 27" and bought the 34" this morning. Couple notes, in dell work website, I couldn't find this monitor. Would been good to use 8% but decided to use 2% for dell consumer instead.

Great panel for gaming so far
Not buying something on sale ISN'T a crime, buying something not on sale IS.

34 inches widescreen seems too big anyway

The 27" IPS was on sale last week but the 10% off monitor code wasn't working =/

Damn. I don't have the Amex card. Otherwise I'd jump on this.

If my math is correct, without the Amex extra 20% off, it works out to approximately $518 with taxes included.

How is the deal without the Amex card?

Pretty close to as cheap as it's ever been. Buy imo.

I actually bought the non gaming version a couple weeks ago when it first went on sale. It's great for what it is, but I upgraded to this gaming version the other day as it's the same price as the non gaming version.

Only caveat on this version is that it lacks speakers, where as the non gaming version has speakers built in.

My 2c: I bought one of these when they first came out but I ended up returning it for 2 main reasons:
1. The VA smear is definitely noticeable in certain scenes
2. Brightness flashes when using gsync

These things might be panel dependent/subjective so it might not effect you but I ended up buying an Acer X34GS (for double the price at the time)

I think I posted last time and I nabbed $494 before tax, it should be here early next week! I think rakuten was only 2% when I bought but oh well.

As others mentioned, this will 'flash' if you enable GSync and it drops below 60 FPS. I assume the games I play and my 2070 super will be a-ok.

Looking forward to 144hz, current Ultrawide is IPS but only 60hz....at this price I had to try!

How does the amex discount work?

How does this monitor compare to other VA 34" monitor like Samsung G5, LG, etc?

Update the driver... Had same issue and that fixed it (mind you i can maintain 60 plus fps, so not a problem for me)

I already have a 27" IPS 170hz..... I'm tempted as I still have the 20%. Is it worth the upgrade????
