[Dell] Dell 4K Monitor S2721QS $368.99, 39% off

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here. I want to upgrade my monitor for a long time. After some research, I think Dell S2721QS is a good choice for me. I have tracked the price of this monitor from the Dell website for several months. The last time I found there was a discount for it maybe in March or April. And the price was 419.99 after 200 off. Then today I found the price had been dropped to 409.99. And the promo code 10%OFFMONITOR still can be applied. So the final price will be 368.99 with taxes will be 416.96.

I am asking anyone who has ideas
(1) Whether this is a good price? I mean for the coming several months, of course, not that late to Black Friday this year.
(2) Is there any way to get more money-saving for this monitor?

Thanks, guys for any reply and help.

I dunno about the others but... to me who’s been looking at posts about monitors for about 6 months now? This is a steal. In for one.

Thank you very much OP

Hi, nice to see you get a good deal from my post. If you can post a post after you get the monitor and share with us about something like delivery speed, that would be great!

No USB-C, no USBs (USB hub) and thus USBs, but it has speakers.

Don’t forget ebates. I bought this back on Boxing Day. Paid $437 with Dell after taxes, but then got 10% through ebates too.

Its only 33$ (before tax) different. Look wise I prefer the Dell. See compare link for others differences.

The LG monitor has HDR10 which is equivalent to nothing. 98% SRGB is not for HDR content by any means.

No, not likely.. its rated at a max 350cdm. You'll see an HDR badge to make you feel warm and fuzzy but that might be about the only improvement you'll see. Good ol' marketing.

If you call Dell and say you want to return it, in my experience they will offer you up a credit to keep it. Last monitor I bought was ~$600 and I think they credited me back like ~$75

Careful with the HDR marketing gimmicks. The Dell actually has a slightly higher average/peak brightness. It has the more modern look. Go for the Dell.

You can save another 20$ if you go with the basic stand

I bought this monitor back in feb with the 15% Rakuten or something, it ended up being 380$~ after taxes and discounts.

This is one of the most disappointing purchases I’ve made this year. The blurry edges is incredibly noticeable even when you are looking directly ahead and have positioned the monitor a good 60cm away from the edge of the table.

There was significant ghosting. Sometimes there are afterimages on the monitor itself - like literally the image looks like it’s burned into the monitor, if I unplug the connection table, it would still be there. The monitor also flickers every so often. The speakers on the monitor are worse than $20 Logitech speakers you can get on Amazon.

I don’t know why RTings has such a high rating for this monitor, but even at 380$ pre cashback or whatever, I would not buy this. I think $250-$300 would be a fair price though.

I got this warrantied, and they sent me a refurbished monitor instead of a new one, there was gunk on the refurbished stand. Dells customer service was alright though.
