Bought a few yesterday and they cancelled over stocks issue, asked me to place order again if I did not mind a 8-16 weeks delay, and to reply to the confirmation email to mention I am okay with the delay.
So those ordering, you might want to do that directly
Thanks OP, bought 25!

I don't suppose anybody has a link to the 10% coupon signup do they? I'm not finding it on the site so maybe it's active until the 21'st for folks who signed up for it, but no longer available for new signups.

I guess its ok these days, I hate how they skimp on certain specs that less savvy people dont notice though.

Besides the PSU which is not recommended but of a high quality which specs are you referring to? Personally this seems more like a good/great vs ok deal these days. Main downside of this deal would be the case cooling which can be fixed for around $50-100 if the person is willing to spend about 1-2 hours. Dell includes service manuals on their website and on the dell forums there are plenty of people talking about what parts they use to upgrade their system. I think most casual users would prefer a case of this size vs one that’s 2x bigger.

Motherboard which is never ever listed, the 1x1 wifi, the slow ram, and Im not a big fan of a 256 gb windows drive. Ill still upvote it because of stock these days. They also always default to one stick of ram, you can change it if you notice... but its default that way because a lot of people wont notice. Gaming on a mechanical drive might be ok for most current and older games as well, but in the near future you will need ssd.

I have a g5 open box here to return to best buy, seems to have been a better value with a i7, 2060 super and 1tb ssd but once I updated windows it locked up and would not send a signal to the monitor. Dell support could not solve the problem for me on the phone, so back it goes.

I read online that there are cooling issues with the g5 but I was going to use an online mod to add an extra fan in hopes of beating that. Ended up getting an HP Omen that was a bit cheaper but had a little less value.

I ordered one (mainly for the 5700 XT) but what I find interesting is the fact that they've gone full hog on the "F" processor by not including a motherboard w/ video out for folks who might want to swap in a different processor with onboard. I'm also curious about how the wifi is set up.... is it a different motherboard w/ integrated, or does it take up a slot? (I don't expect anybody here to know... just thinking out loud... :) ).

If you buy this it's basically a free computer as the 5700xt goes for $1200-$1400 these days.

Is two sticks of 8gb theoretically faster than 1 stick of 16gb? Would it be difficult to get another stick of 16 gb to match the existing one?

i read that 5700xt runs hot, around 90 degrees C. Is it better to wait for a 3060Ti/3070 which only hits 70 degrees while gaming?
I usually keep my computers for over 5 years that is why I'm wondering if 5700xt will last that long.

I bought my current system with 1 stick of 16gb, when I swapped to 2 sticks of 8gb there was a big improvement in benchmarks.
Dual channel helps when gaming, editing, etc.

Dual channel works better with 2 sticks but if you want 32 gb of ram then an extra 16gb matching stick is not that hard to find
