Yes, you will need a hard-drive bracket and hard drive cable to install a 2.5" hard drive.

I have this laptop and I can confirm Dell includes the 2.5” HDD bracket, screws and connector already in the laptop. Just open the bottom panel and you have access to the drive bay with the necessary hardware to install the drive

You can’t really move it directly unless you get a m.2 to SATA adapter. Those can be found in amazon/eBay and may or may not work correctly.

No. M.2 to 2.5" adaptors only support M.2 SATA SSDs

No, the adaptor will not work with NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs.

Afaik, there are no 2.5" adaptors that work with NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs

Is the original SSD PCIe? Specs indicates “Hard Drive: 512 GB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD”. Guess it’s not compatible with the adapter. I might just buy a 2.5” SATA SSD

Looks like Dell doesn't do the 10% off through Unidays anymore, they have their own 10% off code for students which you get though https://www.dell.com/en-ca/lp/delluniversity and is sent to your university email address.

From what I read in another thread, the code works on anything but they may have changed that.
