[Dell] Dell U3415W 34" IPS Ultrawide 3440x1440 $728.99

Hi all,

I know this monitor is not the newest on the block but if you are looking for a rock solid IPS ultrawide with great anti glare, great stand, great construction and silent operation, this is the ticket. Been using mine for 5 years for productivity and it is my favourite monitor of all time. Price is after the 10% off coupon. It looks like Rakuten is excluded from the sale.

is that portion available on other monitors, like 3420 or 3818, or just on this one?

A little pricey still. I paid around the $500-$600 ish mark for this last year in February. Still decent among covid 19 prices.

I've used this monitor for 3 years. No complaints- it went all the way to 75hz from 60hz lol. Dell's warranty on monitors is outstanding as well.

I just returned my 4k and ordered a 38 inch wide Dell.

Please be prepared for "pillar bordering" however, native 4k content would look amazing on Wide screen.

Other than HFR monitor technology is basically unchanged in that time period. IPS displays haven't actually received any improvements to display technology other than color gamut since inception.

This is really bad price for a 5-year old monitor with no other features. LG's current 34" curved IPS 3440x1440 lineup is around $600 on regular sale price.

Also, I paid $775 all-in for my AW3418DW back in January (w/QC Tax), which is 120 Hz. IIRC it was stacking 10%offmonitor + unidays + rakuten + Dell customer support refund for slightly late shipment.

Yes, I got mine for the same price. Effectively mid $500s after ebates. If I were paying this price, I would get something with more curvature.

Since then I've gone back to a 16:9 ratio, I much prefer a taller and less wide display for general use. Going to a 32" 4K gives me two more vertical inches of content space and I don't have to look left and right all of the time. Also, the higher pixel density makes things look more crisp
RFD is not just about saving money, it's about the thrill of the hunt and getting the stuff I want without paying full price like Joe Shmoe did.
This applies to everyday items as well as high end items that I don't really need.
