Was watching this one since it came out. First time it dropped in price (it actually went up a few weeks ago).
Was hoping rakuten would have 10% but only 2% at this time.

This can power the laptop via the USB C correct?

Kinda interesting, I just got a open box 27" dell 1440p to use as a seconary with my gaming setup but this monitor looks awesome for the office.

Wasn’t the non usb-c version on sale for $399 + 10% off last week? I had it in the cart for $359. I think there was even a Dell Rakuten 10% for one of the days. Seems like a big premium to pay for usb-c.. even though it is nice to have the hub + RJ45.

S2721QS is at 399 now as well. Different panel, not just about the usb-c.

USB Power Delivery 90Watts is not enough, won't it damage the battery of a gaming laptop ?

It is likely insufficient power to run your GPU on max settings, but I am not aware of any damage to your battery from utilizing USB-C power. I don't think gamers would be looking at this monitor anyways though.

Same here! Been eyeing this for awhile now. Does anyone know how long this discount will go on for?

Anybody know if the ethernet is capable of gigabit speeds? Often these monitors limit usb and ethernet to 480 Mbps. (when using the usb-c's displayport capabilities)

It was cheaper back in March by maybe $100. I had it in my cart but didn't pull the trigger and then the price shot up for the past month.

For a bit more ($746) the Lenovo P27u-20 would suit anyone that cares about data throughput on the USB hub and ethernet, with the computer-monitor connection being Thunderbolt 4. Sure the Dell says that the hub provides 10Gbps USB ports (as opposed to the Lenovo's 5Gbps), but you're not going to get 10Gbps USB plus 4K/60 video over a USB-C upstream connection.

Is this monitor an upgrade from U2720Q or updated version of U2720Q?

The displayport daisy chaining is nice on these too. My wife has the non-4K version of this and being able to have one cable from laptop to monitor, and one cable from monitor to second monitor, makes for a really clean looking workspace with no extra cable fuss.

I still wish they would only do 1440p and 2880p (5K) for the 27" size.
110PPI or 220PPI is just perfect for every Monitor.

The monitor is a hub/dock - so it has all the ports, you plug all your junk into it, and only plug 1 USB-C cable from the monitor to your laptop
