[Dell] Dell UltraSharp U2417H 1080p Monitor - ~$200

The Dell UltraSharp U2417H 1080p monitor is on sale again for $18 less than last week. Price is $230 minus "10%OFFMONITOR" coupon minus 2% cashback from Rakuten comes out to approx. $200 plus tax. Not easy to get an UltraSharp for cheaper than this.

This won't be for everyone but if you need a color accurate monitor that's factory calibrated and will work for many many years to come, UltraSharp monitors are a great option.

For anyone who bought last week you can get your order price adjusted which is what I did. Also you can ignore the estimated shipping date. Mine shipped today even though they were expected in February.

24 inch 1080p 60hz at max 250nits...

I don't know much about Ultrasharps, why is it priced so high? Looking quickly at the specs it doesn't seem worth it.

They are designed for color accurate work and are calibrated at the factory. They also work for ever.

Agree that this is about as cheap as it gets for these. Great for productivity and some casual design/photo editing - with the nice included stand, built in USB hub, and colour calibrated from the factory.

If you are a gamer and want high refresh rate, look elsewhere.
If you want 1440p and don't care about the stand/USB hub, check out the Lenovo deal instead.
If you don't care about colour calibration, see if there are deals later this week on Dell's P-series (similar panel, features, stand as the U-series, but not calibrated). Though it's rare for them to go under $200 in my experience.

And yes the Ultrasharps do seem to last forever - still running a 20" 16:10 from 2006 at home.

200 is too much for 24 1080p. yeah i sold my u3011 to a friend for 300 a few months ago. the LCD bulb haven't burnt out even after heavy office use for many years. build quality is not as good as before these days for dell.

I'd jump all over this if it was 16:10 ratio. 16:9 is so disappointing for productivity.

I'm using an Asus 16:10 for work these days and really like it. 1080P is fine for 24" monitor for document work. The stand and matte finish make it great.

Dell discontinued their U2415 which had the same resolution which is a shame. There is a P2421 with that resolution that's new but I don't think it's calibrated at the factory.

Ultrasharp built solid, the color accuracy is good for digital art, image editing.... I have several Ultrasharp U2410 monitors at work, they were 8 years old but works well, seems like they will last forever.

I wish they came out something similar to the U2515H - it was so good, 25", 2560x1440, great colour.

Agreed with working forever comment. A RFD problem when you feel like you want a new monitor and the old one just isn't breaking.

I have 2 of these already, wanted to get a 3rd one, but man, this is tempting... Don't have space yet to put it. I was thinking of possibly getting the U2419H though for my 3rd.

What do you guys recommend?

My wife has a U2515H and I love it. The current model is U2520D, priced at $390 after the 10% promo code. Same as what we paid 4 years ago. I'm on the fence between U2520D and U2720Q which comes with UHD 4K and a $630 price tag.

We use Ultrasharp U2412 pairs at work.

These are nearly 100% RGB and calibrated out of the box and you get a bit more vertical resolution due to 16x10 aspect ratio which counts when you have a dual monitor setup. I can’t speak highly enough of these monitors ( we are a publishing department and stare at these all day doing critical work).

3rd party sell on Amazon has them for $185.99 + &15.99 shipping.

Apparently the U2419H isn't as good as the U2417H. It's a case of newer isn't always better. I've read the U2419H has slightly lower maximum brightness and doesn't cover as much color space out of the box. I guess they had to sacrifice something to make the U2419H quite a bit thinner.

I placed an order on U2720Q ($630 before tax) on Sunday and the estimated delivery date is Jan 4.
