[Dell] Dell XPS 15 None-Touch $1,567.99

6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Quad Core (6M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz)
8GB (1x8G) 2133MHz DDR4 Memory
256GB PCIe Solid State Drive
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M with 2GB GDDR5
15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge

Any coupon code would work on that? Seems like a decent deal to me. Add another 8gb stick and you're set.

Hi Op, not sure if you saw the microsoft store deal.

Microsoft Store

mostly the same but microsoft store one has 4k touch screen, plus 999.99
whereas yours only have full HD.. and it is $1567.99

the microsoft store one has 1tb/8gb hybrid sshd, yours has 256gb PCIe

so those are the differences

Different lines. The one OP quoted is the XPS line - specs aren't as high as the Microsoft store one but you pay a bit more premium for the XPS line and their "infinity edge display"

There is another difference you missed.

You are comparing a XPS15 with an Inspiron i7559-5012GRY

I was tempted the get the other one (with 16GB and 512GB), specially with the 10% ebates. but I am not sure if I should wait for next gen CPUs that are coming in the next couple months.

"Next-gen" CPUs will always be on the horizon, especially at this time of year. Sure, you could wait for Dell to put Kaby Lake processors into the 15 like they did the 13, but then those would be more expensive than last year's models. By the time the Kaby Lake laptops drop in price, the next, next gen-processors will have been announced, of course being more powerful + energy efficient, etc.

If you're in the immediate market for a laptop, then why wait for "something better" to come up? It won't be any cheaper.

It's not really the next gen CPU you should be waiting for. The next gen GPU is going to a huge leap over this gen. I'd wait. 1050>>>960M.
