Me too.
I was suspicious of the price since an XPS notebook would be like double this base.

The promotions from Dell are avaible until Sept 5. But the cash back from EBATE changes, it was 10% yesterday and 12% today. As advertised, there will be a cash back event from EBATE on Aug28. Don't know if you get more from it, but I doubt. 12% is very good already for an store of electronics.
My breakdown is
($2000 machine - $500 dell discount - $150 (10%) discount from wherever you got) * 1.13 (tax) - 12% ebate - $200 GC - $40 reward) = about $1100ish ( all include )
Very tempting deal for me. But I have to hold because I need to sell my alienware alpha and an old laptop to cover the buget. It means I will lost my game streaming exclusive machine.
I would suggest those who are interested, to wait until Aug28 to see if there is a better cash back from EBATE event. and if you like to do more to save, try to find some Dell Promotional Cards from gift card reseller web store to save (maybe) an extra 5%. Or buy gift cards from grocery store with the credit card cash back?

Give it some time. The mail with code comes later than the mail with registration confirmation.

there must be a delay in the sign up codes being sent today. I signed up at 8am still nothing.

I'm looking at OP's configuration versus similar configuration in an Alienware system. Can anyone gently comment whether Alienware is worth losing the $200 gift card, all else being the same? I'm not planning any upgrades.

I see the GPU 1660 Ti specs requires a 500W PSU, but this one is only 480W. Do you think it's enough to handle this setup?

Thanks

You won't see it. You need to claim online after.

I also manage hundreds of Dell computers and have for years and the failure rate isn't very bad at all. Sure you see more when you have 1000 but in terms of % failure rate I'm sure it's pretty similar to these over priced parts that aren't even required to complete the same tasks.
