Lenovo Legion 5 82B1008DCC Gaming Laptop = $999 ( - $200 coupon) = $799 plus tx.
I'm not seeing the $200 discount on the Costco site. How do I add the coupon?

Since the $200 voucher can be used to buy other things, it's probably better to consider cost of this laptop to be $1000.

If you are looking at a gaming laptop at $1000 price point, it might be better to spend more to get G15 with 5800H+3060+165Hz.

I guess the thing that sucks about the Dell is the wait time.

That said the Lenovo is good if you need a laptop today. it's also at Costco so it's easier to return (you get 90 days?) than most places if you find a better deal.

The Dell would have been the handsdown better deal if it wasn't for the 4GB of VRAM on the 3050. Now it really comes down to what games you want to play. So you'll need to check out bench marks. I'm not sure if paying $400-$500 more for a 3060 is an option for you, but the difference is power is definitely worth the price premium.

If you can find a 5600h/11400 laptop with a 3060 go for that instead, but if it's out of your budget either of these laptops would be fine. The benefit to buying the dell is it's $800 and you still keep your voucher. If you really want to get rid of the voucher you could always sell it.

Yes, it is 90 days

from What is Costco's return policy?

Costco will accept returns within 90 days from the date of purchase for televisions, major appliances*, projectors, computers, cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), camcorders, digital music players, tablets, smart watches, Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract) and other electronic products identified by Costco from time to time.

I ended up ordered the Lenovo Legion 5 from Costco. The laptop is going to be used for school, so I also added the 3 year $99 extended warranty that includes accidental damage. I normally don't buy extended warranties, but in this case I think its worth it.

It's really hard to beat Costco with their incredible 90 day return policy.

Nice! Good luck with the laptop! Even if you have bad Luck the Costco warranty will cover any issues, lol.

hwinfo64 only reports around 70c, so i can only assume a lot of the heat somehow really gets to the surface of the unit. It doesn't appear to be heavily throttling from temperature or anything.
