Can't remember how low this has gone, but I pulled the trigger on this given how crappy my access point hand offs have been.

Sale price $379 - $15 ($15OFF$199+) Coupon = $364

only warning here is slow delivery, if that matters to you.

the other warning i would say is band steering - your speeds will always be less - if you are in a condo as google will always pick up the 2.4ghz band to give you speeds. I finally switched to the https://www.amazon.ca/TP-Link-802-11ax- ... B07YMFZ28Q which is much better in terms of speed and can be set up as a mesh..

Was waiting on Google to come out with a Wifi 6 version, but doesn't look like it'll happen for sure any time soon, and if it does, would probably be double what this cost is.

Btw Eero and Google, I had to do Google since its tight integration with my google home setup and I hear the app integration is great... If I was still on Alexa, I would have gone that way since I wanted the "newer" wifi 6.

That being said all the review sites seem to praise Google Wifi's as the top pick... maybe some ppl w/ experience can chime in so I know if I should cancel my order.

TPLINK have pulled the AX50 off the OneMesh support list. I also bought the AX50 thinking it will support Mesh ... but no.... TPLink decided to not add OneMesh support to AX50. =(

I am extremely happy with my nest wifi router with 3 google wifi points cover my entire 2800 sqft house all the way to the back yard and my driveway.

No issues at all integrating with my Alexa devices and I have about 58 wireless devices connected all the time.

I've been waiting for the extender to go on sale on its own. I should've bought the bundle from the start... buying a single extender is incredibly expensive compared to the pack. :(

The Nest mesh system does not have a dedicated backhaul which means that high speed internet connections will drop a lot of bandwidth when you are connected to one of the extension points vs the main hub. My download speed will drop from 300Mbps to 150Mbps. For absolute performance at the Nest price point, there are better systems.

Having said that, if you’re heavily invested in the Google echo system like me, being able to control all your Google devices including Wifi using the Google Home app is very convenient so it’s a trade off that’s worth it for me.

Actually that reminds me, I have this router and works great around the house as I have almost 20 wifi connected devices, so mesh works better for me than a single router.

I have the Netgear r8000 router in pretty good condition if anybody wants to buy it off me, can sell for $90 and its been used for 2 years with absolutely no issues. Just upgraded to Google Mesh recently, so dont need thjs R8000 now. Its a pretty powerful router and if you add a usb drive to it, it can also act as a DLNA servers to stream your movies ( from the usb drive) to all the connected devices, which is pretty cool

https://www.amazon.ca/NETGEAR-Nighthawk ... B00NFS8088

PM me if anybody interested in the r8000.

Im from Milton, so only people from Halton or Peel region contact me. Im not shipping this router anywhere.

Rather amusing statement.... "That being said all the review sites (that need Google for website traffic which translates to revenue) seem to praise Google Wifi's as the top pick.

Do you mind to share more? What other good backhaul options are there? I am currently using backhaul with 3 old asus/tplink onhub ac1900 with google wifi mesh. Not sure if it is time to upgrade.

Google Nest Wifi is compatible with Google Wifi points.
https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9548099

If you've previously set up a Nest Wifi network, you can add Google Wifi points by following the steps to add a point to a Nest Wifi network.

Yes, that’s my current set up, added a nest router to an existing 3 google wifi points. Wifi connection is indeed more stable connecting to the google wifi points through Ethernet
