This, unless you really want the keyboard. i7 doesn't add much and the 8th gen cpu was a big leap for Intel. Ips display vs probably a TN display on the t450

I have this laptop - it's great because it has an empty 2.5" slot for a SATA SSD drive. Essentially you can have a 1.256 TB SSD 14" laptop for ~ $700

I've only used it plugged in. I will say the lcd backlight bleed issue is quite noticeable. But I bought it for the old man, who only uses it for internet browsing, word processing, and photo storage.

Thinking about it. Would be good for purely watching movies and shows and bringing it around for basic use.

Seems like a pretty decent machine, and won't be using it for much more than basic office / web usage. The ports seem to future proof it a fair bit. Thanks, OP.

What's the build quality?

Is it a metal chassis or plastic?

There's also a $25off$700PC coupon, but not sure if it stacks with the 10% off email code.

How did you even figure that? And what use is that information when every province has different taxes.

$729 - 10% off = $656
$656 + tax = $741
$741 - 100 gift card - 10% ebates on the before tax price = $576

Taxes are calculated based on the only province that matters, Ontario
