[Dell] Inspiron 14 7000 2in1 Ryzen 7 4700U, 16Gb, 512SSD $1050 less discounts

Other than a weak FHD screen, this checks a lot of boxes - 16Gb (expandable), Ryzen 4700, touchscreen supports active pen.
Even inlcudes 1 year onsite service.
And there is an addition $50 off with coupon code $50off$1000PC, 2 - 2.5% cashback available.
I also have an Amex offer for 10% off, but I can't find this model through the offer link.

A little bit off topic, but has anyone found a laptop like this in Canada?

HP Envy x360
15.6 in touchscreen
Ryzen 5 or 7
16 GB RAM
512 GB SSD

Costco has Ryzen 5 with 8 GB RAM for $899
https://www.costco.ca/hp-envy-x360-15-d ... 58443.html

Ugh all its missing is 16 GB RAM, and it would be perfect. And it'll be cheaper than this Dell model, and bigger screen, and looks better imo.
I know you can upgrade the RAM, but it ends up costing $100 to buy it yourself anyways. And you'd have to find a compatible part.

I have this exact laptop with 16 GM RAM actually but it was purchased in the US.

$1050 - Unidays (10%) - Rakuten (2%) = $926.10

It's not bad, certainly the best price you'll find for a 4700U 2-in-1 14" laptop. Upgradeable RAM and SSD is a godsend.

Still too rich for me. Best you wait for the rapidly approaching Black Friday and Holiday Season pricing.

Dell Promos and Coupons available:
  1. 15% off with email sign-up [YMMV] -- it might only work for eligible Dell for Work products
  2. 10% Unidays discount for verified college students -- buyer must be currently enrolled/registered and be able to prove it, supporting docs will be required -- browse Unidays FAQ/Help for details -- Do not spam the thread suggesting need/requesting/offering/feigning inquiring about UniDays codes because the RFD mod team will lock this thread
  3. Dell Coupon code: $50off$1000PC
  4. $100 off $899 on select laptop and pc coupon code: SAVE100SBAFFFY21Q3 -- doesn't work on all pcs or laptops and/or might be expired/exhausted [big YMMV] -- it doesn't work for this deal product
  5. Rakuten Dell Consumer rebate: 2% cashback for consumer line products (consumer account)
  6. Rakuten Dell Technologies for Work rebate: 6% cashback for business line products only (business account)
  7. Dell Rewards: 3% back as store credit with limited time for using it -- only for consumer/home products
$(1050-50)*.9 = $900 pretax, $18 cashback, $27 store credit -- using $50 off Dell coupon and Unidays.

Literally had to return my laptop from the previous thread because of 3 weeks of changing communication. From sending me a replacement laptop that was to have been delivered 3 days ago, to me calling in and wondering where it is, to be told oh the factory is refusing to make any more and has made it end of life configuration. This price isn't even that good that I would say risk it. They easily have the WORST employees and service I have seen, and I have seen it all. I would say pay more and ensure there is some sort of retail presence for what you bought so you can deal with any issues. Costco is likely best option since you are getting 2 years guaranteed of repairs, replacements or returns by just going down to your local costco or calling them.

Just one look at @DellCares twitter and their replies will tell you all you need to know. And I spoke with literally 30+ employees all who said widely different things, lied, disconnected etc. You'll spend hours talking with someone and being told something will happen and then you'll go back a few days and see nothing happened, service request was closed and you have an all new employee who will say something completely different.

RFD'ers will get it, but they are so on my ****list now that I would rather deal with Tiger Direct, Bell Canada anyday of the week rather than Dell lol.

FYI, @Harold91 is referring to his (and maybe others) buyer's experience with the Dell Inspiron 5505 with Ryzen 4500U or 4700U that are the subject of the thread [Dell] Dell 15" 4700U / 4500U - DC RAM, USB-C DP 4K60 + 65W PD - $849/$849 ($764/$764 Uni) [$749/$749 Uni+Rak] [Credit blairs1]

You can not use the uniday code and a coupon such as the 50$ off or 100$ off tohether. I tried, so the pretax price is 945$, 2%Rakuten and 3% reward.
If Rakuten was 8-10-12%, it would have been an excellent deal.
