[Dell] Dell Inspiron 15 i5-6300HQ, 8GB RAM, 960m 4gb, 256GB SSD, 15.6" 1080p - $949.99

Good deal on a laptop with a decent video card, processor and SSD.

Laptop gets good reviews, sale on for 48hrs.

$999, use coupon $50OFF$899PC to bring it down to $949.

Don't forget to stack with rep discount. Just click on "Click to Chat" on the top of the screen and have a nice talk with a rep.

This might be a better deal: Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro VN7-572TG-775T Signature Edition Gaming Laptop from the microsoft store. Bought it with the student 10% off from the education store...I don't believe they check if you purchase online so you get an additional 10% off. Have had it for about a month and it is a great machine:

15.6-inch (396.24-millimeter) Full HD touchscreen
Intel Core i7-6500U
16GB memory/256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics

It is out of stock, but they get new stock very frequently so I would keep monitoring the website. Very fast shipping as well I think it took 2 or 3 days from ordering to delivered.

Do you have any further information on this rep discount?

I have been waiting weeks for it to come back in stock. Its either so popular it's being bought before I see it in stock or it isn't being restocked.

Strange, I remember seeing it instock when i recommended it to a friend early last week. Keep trying. For the price there really isn't anything better specs wise especially with the education discount.

Be aware that the i7-6500U is a stripped down I7 with lower performance. I would stay away from U series if you want to do any gaming.

i5-6300HQ much better than i7-6500U, 960m much better than 950m.

Reps can give avg of $50 discount, but manager can give more. Rep discounts are one time and typically time limited so you would have to talk to a rep yourself unfortunately.

HQ >>> U
U is is basically half the performance of a comparable HQ (Its a bullshit marketing thing to make it seem like your getting better value)
In this case what you listed will have 2 cores, whereas the HQ listed above will have 4 cores.

no comparison between the 950m and 960m. one is pretty well useless while the other is a real gaming gpu.
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!

Won't that be a year away, considering they're only being released in a month's time, and so the desktop GPUs won't even be available for a couple months at least?

Did you read the reviews I have linked?

One reviewer said the screen is a little dim, other than that they said it performs well.

Reviews seem to concur that the colour accuracy is off compared to other screens.

I ordered this configuration for the same price a couple weeks ago when someone posted the same deal. I hope to get it by next week.

Also ordered the 1tb mushkin ssd from the deal posted here.... should fill the empty HDD slot nicely....

There's a reason why it's so cheap. They obviously had to cut corners somewhere, and it's the screen, since the GPU/CPU is the same no matter what laptop you put them in as it's the same model. You're welcome.
