1080p resolution is too low in this day - especially on a 15.6 laptop - my 13 inch is 1800p
personally I would spend the extra money and get a 4k display on a 15.6"

^ Note that this is a review for a model with quad core i7 and UHD screen.

As a complement to the above review, a less proficient review @ techradar for a model with similar specs to this thread's deal (except for the magnetic HDD) : http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac ... 4/review/1

Notice the runtimes on battery. No opinions about the screen. BTW, battery size seems to be 74Whr [add to cart, checkout, detailed view]

I could only imagine what you think of the 99.9% of 15.6" laptops sitting on the shelf with junk 1366x768 kiddie panels.
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!

Interesting. Didn't know Intel has Quad-Core i5's now.

Yes.

The one in the picture is the one with the 2.5" drive and empty M.2 slot.

Oh, I was hoping it came with a 256GB SSD in the M.2 slot. They had written this blurb under the photo: (The $900 model pictured has a populated 2.5-inch drive bay and an empty M.2 slot; the $800 model we recommend has an M.2 SATA drive and an empty 2.5-inch drive bay.)

I just received mine today, setting it up now. It's pretty nice, but there's loose feeling in the trackpad, I can really feel it when I tap to click. Can't wait to open up the underside to add an ssd to the m2 storage it came with.

Just bought this laptop, if you want to put the OS you got with the laptop on a different drive stay the ***** away. Dell's OS imaging solution is absolute garbage.

Are you sure the m.2 slot is empty on this configuration? The one I received uses the m2 for the 256gb ssd, leaving the 2.5" bay empty and waiting. I just opened it up to make sure.

It's never been easier to install a fresh copy of Windows 10.

Thanks. That's what I thought they did for this one. I just asked on a chat with a rep and they told me the same thing. Asking if I can have a coupon code now :)

Sorry, my reply was confusing.

The yes was that you get a 256 SSD in the M.2 slot. The picture shows the other version, what you don't get.

I was quoted this with a rep with the 4yr limited hardware warranty when asking for a coupon code:

Subtotal # $1,016.99
Taxtotal # $132.34
Shippingcharges # $0.00
TotalPrice # $1,150.33

On the site it would be:
Sub-total $1,039.99
Total Price 1 $1,176.32

Decided to do it through the site to get the 3% RFD Cashback.

Is the price higher due to the four year warranty?

Yeah it was an extra $90 before tax for the 4yr warranty. Thought it might be worth it. Thanks for posting the deal :)

Gaming laptop's battery is only avoiding to lose data or save during the electronic power suddenly off. if you care the battery life more than performance, you should not buy gaming laptop, because you are wasting money.
