[Dell] New XPS 13 2-in-1 Laptop $2,249.99 ... $450 off

  • 10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7 Processor
  • Windows 10 Home
  • Intel® Iris Plus Graphics
  • 32GB 3733MHz LPDDR4x Memory Onboard
  • 512GB PCIe NVMe x4 Solid State Drive Onboard
To me, that RAM makes a huge difference. As long as the reliability is there, this is what I'm looking at between now and Black Friday. I see Rakuten is a 2% discount only. Switching from macOS for the first time at home in over a decade.

Amazing laptop, my only gripe would be the 15w cpu, but for a 2in1, I'll take it.

would definitely wait til BF tho

Wow that's a beastly XPS 13, pretty good if you can afford it.

I'm also eyeing this machine. Would be okay with the same specs but 16GB RAM. Do you think now is the time to bite? If Rakuten was at 10% I would be all in. Think we'll get any better between now and Black Friday?

Isn't the 16 GB model more expensive because of the discount to the 32 GB version?

I managed the i7-10th gen/16gb/256gb version for $2056 tax in, with another $200 visa prepaid, and an additional $40something in cash back, back in early October. It's been great, though even after the latest fingerprint sensor update, I'm still having issues using it.

I'd pull the trigger, but I recall the last xps I bought last year had the WOOOORST coil whine, then they processed and update to basically downgrade the entire cpu...

I wonder if this XPS has the same issue...

Smaller more efficient CPU and good fans apparently.

Decent price but not a BF type of deal. Best to wait.

I dunno, at that price I'd probably go with a 13" MacBook Pro instead. It seems like Dell is trying to go more upmarket with their XPS pricing the last few months.

Personally I feel like this is still too expensive for what you're getting, though no doubt it's an attractive machine. I'm looking at their new Inspirons which have a lot of nice new features (Thunderbolt, better chassis materials, etc.) and the cost is much better than the next generation XPS.

Maybe if it was the XPS13, but this is the 2-in-1. If you actually want the 2-in-1, then the MBP isn't the alternative.
