Purchased two of these monitors on Boxing Day aswell. Can confirm the monitor has been great for work from home. Moved from two 32” to 2 27” and no regrets. Also think qhd is more than enough. Don’t need 4K on this size. Would recommend. Agreed Stands aren’t the best. I put text books under mine.

Here is what I payed from Boxing Day. Also got $4.86 from Rakuten. So $238.31 before tax and enviro fee. I think my Rakuten was 2% but it was 10% the day before I ordered.

I got this on Boxing Day. The final price I got it for was 242.99-10% Rakuten to get a final price of 218.69 pre-tax. Looks great with thin bezels and paired with a monitor arm as it is VESA mountable so never needed the stand.

Funny, I haven't unboxed mine yet but was planning to put text books under it too. :D

Which monitor arm did you get?

Just snagged one, thanks OP. I hope this will not seem too huge, running from my 13" macbook pro. I've a standing desk and it needs to rise up without wobbling too badly...

I ordered a 22" Viewsonic 1080 from Amazon which I saw posted here- mistake, just returned it. The resolution of 1080p is hardly hi-def anymore, or at least not for that monitor. I do some photo editing, I'm sure this will be way better... but my main concern is sharp text for long days of word processing. I really hope the screen real estate on this monster will be useful.

I'm currently on a 24" monitor and work on windows side-by-side but it's not good or wide enough. Can anyone with experience with this monitor speak on using it for work, specifically looking at windows side-by-side? Is the resolution enough to have 4 windows/applications on each corner of the screen?

I bought this 2K monitor which is recommended for the best resolution for a 27" monitor. I am very happy with this screen as it provides additional "real estate" while limiting the screen size by reducing the bezel to almost zero and including built-in speakers.

I was able to get it for $275 all-in and I think this was one of the best monitor values I've seen in recent times. I would definitely recommend this monitor at this price.

would this monitor be suitable for a kid's room with an XBOX series X hooked up to it?

Should be good, I'd just recommend some computer speakers to plug in as monitor speakers are always really tinny.

If you splurged for an Xbox Series X, then you should probably just get a 4K monitor instead, like the also on sale Dell S2721QS for $130 more:
https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/accesso ... d/210-AXLG
-make sure to use the code 10%OFFMONITOR on either screen for an extra 10% off.

Note that BOTH of those monitors do not have speakers at all, but they do have a headphone out port that you can connect external speakers or earbuds or headphones to.

That's what I do with my U3219Q and it works great for PS5.

Cheers!
