[Dell] Sony A6500 (body only) - $1550 (possible additonal discounts)

Great deal from Dell.ca. Live again.

Regular price: $1,750 plus tax

Dell.ca now sells this camera at $1,550. If you register as their Advantage member, you get extra $46 which you can spend on your next purchase at Dell.

Further discount you may get:

(1) If you are a student, register at UNiDAYS to get a further 10% off student discount.
(2) CAA members get 10% discount at Dell.ca as well (thanks to SLee).
(3) If you make the purchase through the portal at ebates.ca, you will get 8% cash back (was 2%) (thanks to wakka2u and simon416).

You probably cannot get two 10% discounts at the same time, but Dell Advantage and ebates.ca member cash back should be additive.

Expiry date is not specified.

Im a Sony E mount owner but Olympus E-M10 III for $799 everyday price is better deal with more effective stabilization.

Most compelling reason to upgrade from A6000 to this is stabilized 4K video and the other does it better for less money with less rolling shutter with only ever so slight penalty on low light.

I carry two mirrorless cameras with primes on any interesting shoots. Since battery sucks I can quickly raise one or the other body without losing moments.

You shooting headshots all day every day running a Walmart portrait studio? Did I not say I carry two bodies and I am a Sony owner?

You won't want 1.4 DOF shooting video unless subject doesn't move. I guess flowers on tripod are perfect. I'm not much of flower video shooter and I don't think many people are.

There are always those who will just find negatives on anything other than their own prefererred brand. I can try to stay neutral as Sony and Canon owner.

exactly, it's not like people are going to buy a m43 and then go to APSC, and then say, look at all that extra bokeh OMG!!!!

People who need shallow depth of field are going to pick a full frame camera anyway.

Yea and it all depends on the lenses too. I like the bokeh at F1.8 on fullframe, it makes a nice separation and the DOF isn't too raser thin that I'll miss many shots. If I want the same DOF, I can just put a F1.2 lens on APS-C or F0.95 on MFT, which there's a few options for both system. Of course with fullframe, you can go F1.2 and F0.95 that no other systems can replicate.

With student rebate, it's quite a nice deal.

]Decent deal if you can get it!
The janky website shows the a6500 as 1549.99 in the product listing grid but regular price (1749.99) on the product page and when you add it to your cart.

Price is now $1550 again. With ebates 8% cash back and $46 Dell promo card, seems like a good deal.
