Pretty good deal, considering how pretty much all users will never notice a difference between a high end SATA SSD and a NVMe SSD.

I think the biggest difference we're going to see with some of the new NVME drives is that endurance and stability tend to be higher. Like this Corsair drive has 4X the endurance rating. I don't feel like I'll ever have to worry about it when it's that high!

That's not an NVMe thing, that's a Corsair over-provisioned the drive thing. That's why it's 480GB and both Silicon Power drive and Patriot VPN100 that use the same controllers are listed at 500GB.
