Try this one https://www.dell.com/en-ca/work/shop/la ... p1c2200uca, $1300 with coupons and rebates.Evil Baby wrote: ↑ Damn. Just ordered a Surface laptop, was going back and forth between these two devices. I find it very annoying that on both devices ram is capped at 8gigs. Honestly, the i5 is good enough for me but I would like 16 gigs of ram for a bit of future-proofing and for those odd days when my browser has 30 tabs open, however when I looked it was nearly $2200 for devices with 16 gigs of ram because the CPU and HD got upgraded first, neither of which I really cared about.

I can't seem to customize it. I would like to add 32GB of RAM and select white color, but got an error message.xiqiqq wrote: ↑ Try this one https://www.dell.com/en-ca/work/shop/la ... p1c2200uca, $1300 with coupons and rebates.

I saw the error as well. It's weird that there are options but you can't select.Sgt_Strider wrote: ↑ I can't seem to customize it. I would like to add 32GB of RAM and select white color, but got an error message.

New Dell XPS 13 officially confirmed with Intel Tiger Lake processor
According to an article on Laptopmag Dell XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1 are expected to arrive before the end of the year.
IMO, package is fantastic except for the processor.
I wonder what its real endurance on battery is.

If my memory is correct, amex offer will expire at the end of september. That mean if the laptop is shipped in october, card will be charged after expiry date of the offer. Dell.ca charge the card when shipping.setlist wrote: ↑ For those lucky enough to have signed up for the Amex Platinum 10% back on dell purchases there's that discount as well.

Very good point! I believe you're correct. I didn't consider the "Ships in 10–13 business days".

Thanks. Even if I cost in the upgraded touch panel and Windows license this comes to around the same price I paid for the Surface 3 from Costco, but gets a better process and more ram and only 1 year less warranty. I feel like I'm going to be too lazy to cancel the Surface 3 and get this but I'll certainly have to think about it.xiqiqq wrote: ↑ Try this one https://www.dell.com/en-ca/work/shop/la ... p1c2200uca, $1300 with coupons and rebates.

I activated the 8% Dell Technologies for Work cashback promo from the rakuten extension, it says it's active, and when I go to checkout, the extension flashes for the 2% cashback bonus and the 8% cashback is no longer shown. How can I know for sure that the 8% cashback is active??

which one to get, this: 1599 CAD
https://www.dell.com/en-ca/work/shop/la ... p1c609buca
or the one OP posted: 1699 CAD
https://www.dell.com/en-ca/work/shop/la ... p1c2200uca
The 1599 one seems has more powerfull CPU and larger SSD than 1699 one and it has more discount.

Personally, I would pass on this older 16:9 model. The newer 16:10 model is much nicer resolution to work on in my opinion.
I paid $1,500USD for the same model in October 2019, but with higher specs:
I wouldn't advise getting just 8GB of RAM either. You will end up swapping when having a bunch of browser tabs open. 32GB is overkill unless you want to run VMs locally.
FYI the only difference as far as I'm aware with the Developer Edition is the lack of a fingerprint reader. A stock Windows 10 installer works fine, drivers are automatically installed.

I've lost slightly less than 15% over the past year of ownership. Not great, not terrible either.

I totally agree. I have last year's model (XPS 9380) and when I saw the new one had a 16:10 screen I wanted one. Maybe Dell will have a BF/CM doorcrasher with the specs I would want in order to tempt me to buy one.FreezingCanada wrote: ↑ Personally, I would pass on this older 16:9 model. I'd like to see more laptops with 3:2 aspect ratio, like the MS Surface or the Huawei Matebook X Pro at affordable prices. I think Xiaomi had one model with this aspect ratio as well. These laptops are niche and expensive, though.
