I have received the student code right away and couldn't apply to this deal -
This is a valid coupon code, but there are no matching items currently in your cart.
it says
Coupon cannot be applied to doorbuster pricing.
I assume the same thing would happen to 10% off subscription coupon, even if we had one

just got a code and used it successfully. It can't be combined with $75 off $1500
Please use this one $TPMQ1LW2C92$V - I don't need it as I requested on two emails

Thanks, used!

Decided to get the Inspiron 13 2-in-1 for $1399.99 instead. (Before coupon and Rakuten). The inspiron has the same processor but a 4k display, 60WHr battery (vs 52 WHr), and more importantly (for me), ships soon. The XPS was giving me a September estimate which is too far.

This Inspiron 7306 is a pretty good deal. In addition to the advantages you mentioned, it also has a HDMI port which make it quite convenient to connect to second monitor. The 2-in1 form factor also could be quite useful.

On the other hand, build quality of Inspiron might not be as good as that of XPS13. In addition, XPS13 might look better but this is quite subjective.

They have multiple XPS 13th models there, Nd you can filter by availability. The one I bought is supposed to be ready tomorrow, delivered by the end of July

Would go with a Thinkpad over a Dell all day long.

I got this laptop with following upgrades for $2142.47 including tax

-- i7-1185G7
-- 3.5K OLED
-- 32 GB RAM
-- 1 TB Storage

Seems pretty good deal, as it was hard to find 16:10 OLED laptops from other brands for this price

Liked the fact that XPS 13 have 2 thunderbolt ports on either side, so, you don't have to worry about which side charger is located (helps when battery life is way less than other ultrabooks)

RAM upgrade makes sense (if you really need 32GB, as it's not a gaming laptop and it's hard for me to imagine the application for that amount of memory), as it's soldered and pretty much impossible to upgrade yourself. But the drive is overpriced. redflagdealers usually sells the stock drive and replace with something they get online.
CPU power will be limited by the motherboard, so doesn't really matter, and the screen could be an issue if you have old apps with not good scaling possibilities. For 13" fullHD is good enough

My 9350 XPS13 heat up very quick and the fan noise is annoying. My other XPS 15 9570 has the same problem. Their CPUs constantly go to 70c They are both very hot even for regular use. I would not buy an XPS again unless they really can solve the heating issue.

nani? in this day and age you need at least 256gb of RAM at MINIMUM. this belongs in a museum.
