Dell XPS Desktop, Intel i5-10400, for sale after being harvested for graphics card.

Questions:
1. Reasonable deal?
2. Reasonably fast and future proof (5 years)? - mostly web surfing and MS Office, occasionally use Adobe Photoshop elements/premiere, not a gamer.

Looking at buying the following computer as a desktop upgrade (currently using 3 Gen I5 desktop) for $505:

Specifications:
- i5-10400 Intel CPU
- Intel UHD Graphics 630 chipset (integrated graphics)
- 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2666Mhz RAM
- 256GB NVMe M.2 Drive, and additional 2 TB 7200 RPM 3.5” Drive (computer has two hard drives)
- DVD Drive, and a licensed copy of Windows 10 64-bit Home
- Front panel USB-C port and built-in Wifi and Bluetooth
- 500W Platinum power supply
- Includes all accessories, such as Dell keyboard, Dell wired mouse, and power cord.

Easily more than 5 years with your usage. The only thing, SSD is small for future it will need bigger one.

I would kinda low ball as the person got it for the video card which normally sells for more

possibly issues . upgrading memory may need you to remove the existing ones
upgrading m2 storage the same thing
are the other parts generic not that you normally would be swapping them but what if power supply goes.

for your usage its up for the job

Make sure it really is a i5-10400 not a i5-10400F (no video on chip)

great specs for the price otherwise (dual channel ram!)

Thanks all for the advice, picked the computer up, still in original box, sans graphic card. It is an XPS 8940, booted up (first time) and warrantied with no issues. Seems plenty fast, forgot the delight in trying to migrate programs when I don't have the original discs anymore. MS Office reinstall will be a treat, I refuse to subscribe to MS Office 360 - I've been spoiled by my work tech department and my computer refreshing skills are rusty.

Seller apparently has sold about 30 of the systems (XPS and Dell) after harvesting the graphic card. Seller didn't move on the price ($505) but still a good deal for my purposes and when comparing with prices from pcparts picker or new systems. Onboard graphics are fine my purposes and computer is silent (granted my older ears aren't don't hear high pitch whines in any event).

Not small form factor, the seller I bought from was on Facebook Marketplace in Victoria BC, doubt he ships but you no harm in asking. Link to facebook marketplace add: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 129954278/

Seems to be a fair amount of these around, similar to the Dell G5 deals.
