So 1 256GB SSD = $90 (used), 2x90=$180
the i7-4770 is still worth around $180 (used)
Total for the piece is $360. Dell is selling it for $317.40.

so tempted to get a 9020 these past few sales... just not sure how up-gradable they are. like more ram, GPU, PSU, etc.

I would buy a 24 pin to 8 pin adapter, a new case, a new PSU, and a GPU.
The front panel pinout will take a while to figure out.

You have yourself a VR ready system for around $800.

@karembeu , is it possible to tell how old the Precision workstations are? I know they were launched in 2013, but, is it possible to be getting one that was made in 2015 or 2016 that might have less mileage on it?

Also, do you know how well those workstations, namely the T3610 would operate today's current software suites like Maya 2017 or Maya 2018, and Zbrush4r7 or Zbrush 4r8 and stuff like that?

If you could let me know, I'd be super appreciative, as I'm on the fence for one right now.

Thanks!
*RFD - once you're in there's no getting out.*

*If you wanna buy something, wait for it! Eventually RFD will post it and something in your pants will feel awesome that you waited: your wallet.*

deezz, all the units are off lease, and the vast majority of leases are 3 years. I'm afraid I am not the best one to comment on those specific software packages, as intensive as I get is using Photoshop :) I'm sure someone on here has used them though, the RFD forums are a great resource.

Just curious, do you guys add another HD to the PC or get an external HD?
I'm tempted to get a 9020 but the HD seems small for me.

Thanks!

No, only drives listed as 128Gb or 256Gb will be SSD.
