I'm surprised nobody started a thread yet about this. Since this morning there are great flights deals on Delta Airlines to either Quito Ecuador or Lima Peru.

Fly to Quito Ecuador or Lima Peru for as low as $238 CDN taxes included! The downfall: you need to start your trip from a US City (New York, Chicago, Washington, Las Vegas, San Francisco, etc), while you return to either Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa.

Select working dates range from September 2019 to February 2020. You can book directly with the airline however Delta will charge you in USD (while some other OTA's may charge in CDN). You can use Google Flights, ITA Matrix, and Skyscanner to find working dates (you have to book a multi destination itinerary).

This deal is all over the travel blogs so, refer to them for possible working dates:

I personally booked:

Monday January 27: New York - Quito Ecuador
Tuesday February 11: Quito Ecuador to Ottawa Ontario
$197 USD RT on Delta

Here's some ways I traveled to NYC cheaply in the past:
-Rideshare
-One way car rental from Montreal (I don't know why Montreal is so cheap for a one way car rental, but it is. A one way car rental in the past cost me $30-$60 CDN a day including all taxes/fees. Pickup at YUL airport and drop off at JFK)
-Fly (flights can be as cheap as $100 CDN one way from Ottawa or Montreal).
