Device for Music controls when using wired headset with Android phone?

Is there any device that can connect via bluetooth and give music controls to a pair of wired headphones that have no controls on them? Something that I could attach via a clip to my belt as an example for easy FF/RW Vol-+ but retain the quality of the wired connection?

With Apple iPhones and iPods you can get an in-line control module that lets you pause/play, prev/next, volume +/-, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Headphon ... B003A5AXP4

I've tried it with my Android phones, and while pause/play works, the other functions don't.

I also have a little Bluetooth headphone adapter (like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Griffin-GC42924-A ... B01HRYAP1K). It's a separate Bluetooth headphone adapter, not just a control unit. But as an experiment at one time I tried pairing this with the Android phone, switching to Bluetooth output, then switching back to local headphone output, and the controls on the Bluetooth unit still worked.

That's what I'm looking for but need the full functionality for Android (I've updated my post title).
