Did anybody order GoPro directly from their website lately

Looking to buy GoPro hero 10 and prices are just crazy. BestBuy wants $650 and GoPro.com price is $460 + $25 shipping. Price seems to be in Canadian as page shows "Save CAD$250 with 1-Year GoPro Subscription". Then there is this part: "Taxes, Duties & Carrier Surcharges calculated in checkout" and "Duties, taxes, and carrier surcharges will be added to your total during checkout. The carrier will not collect any duties, taxes or carrier surcharges on or before delivery."

So wonder if anybody ordered from GoPro directly and if they had to pay any additional fees??
Trying to decide where to buy.

Just ordered from their website yesterday, shipped to Vancouver, BC.
If you buy the basic package (Gopro Hero 10 + MicroSD + regular battery), it comes to about $512 final price (including shipping, tax, duties). One caveat is, you need to pay with Paypal then cancel Gopro subscription immediately from Paypal after the purchase.
Technically, this deal requires you to purchase 1-year subscription which is $59.99. If you pay with Paypal (NOT CREDIT CARD THEOUGH THEIR WEBSITE), they charge you for the device first, and then the subscription goes to Paypal Automatic Payments. The subscription does not get charged immediately. Mine said it will start charging the next day.

So by cancelling the Automatic payment from Paypal, you get to avoid paying for thst 1-year subscription, thus saving you another $59.99.

Just FYI, i purchased a couple of Enduro batteries along with my camera because 1. These batteriea are not available in Canada and can ONLY be shipped with the camera from US due to regulations on battery imports 2. You get discounts from Gopro.com because you are automatically considered their subscriber when you purchase this package.

I am not an expert in Gopro but quick research shows it's definitely worth purchasing Enduro batteries.

TLDR; final price will be around $512 shipped to Canada, using Paypal as payment method and by cancelling Gopro subscription from Paypal Automatic Payment section immediately after the purchase.

Thanks for the tip. I need basic hero 10 as I got most of accessories. I've noticed their subscription includes free camera replacement and still cheaper over 3-4 yrs than Best Buy.

If there was an MVP ranking of posts for redflagdeals this would be a finalist.

I visited the GoPro site before finding this thread. The GoPro Hero 10 plus accessories pack was $529.98 + $25 shipping. After duties, taxes, etc the total was $654.96.

The only part of the subscription that interests me is "No-questions-asked camera replacement". Does this mean if I drop the camera and it breaks I get a new one no questions asked?

Here's a long FAQ on their replacement program.

https://community.gopro.com/s/article/g ... uage=en_US

From what I gather is you can get a replacement no questions asked, but there is a fee of $100 USD ($139 CAD on their country conversion page) or less depending on which camera it is. And you can get up to 2 replacements per year. One major caveat though is they won't replace a missing/lost/stolen GoPro. You have to send a GoPro back. This is likely to prevent someone from lying about their GoPro going missing and then being able to add a second and third GoPro for cheap.
