Deal itself is good. But honestly I deleted some news apps in my phone. Too much negative news. Rather go meditation apps and learn some new skills

Geez - I’m old. When I was younger I could get a printed trial subscription delivered to my door for that weekly price.

I got a free ecobee thermostat thanks to the Star, but other than that a lot of negative bs. Not a good deal.

A bit misleading. This is for digital access only, not physical newsprint.

Don't neglect the news. Just pick and choose about topics that mean something to you. If everyone had this mindset corrupt people would win.

I've tried to get a hold of them for the past 6 months via email and never had a single one returned yet.

A lot of libraries will allow you access to the digital version on PressReader.

Content is weak as others have said - most of the non-local content is cut and pasted off the AP & Cision newswires - but worth $1/week for local coverage.
