Discounts for new cars

I am looking to buy a new Hyundai Elantra GT 2018, which is available at the dealers location.

It is the base model with automatic drive.
Base price is $21.699 plus transport and other charges plus tax.

I ll be a cash buyer.

What discount are usually achievable and should i ask for?

I am not desperate nor in love with this dealership or model in stock. No issues to walk away to somewhere else if my reasonable requests are not met.

Why the Hyundai if you're a cash buyer? You're not taking advantage of the 10yr finance I don't really see the need to buy one of these.

Corolla or civic perhaps? Imo, are both much better built cars. /flame suit on

I think it's far too early to get this vehicle for anything less than MSRP, however perhaps as winter approaches, they might be more inclined to wheel and deal.

If you *do* manage to get a lower price, please let us know. Ok, let *ME* know, as I want one too :D
