Dishwasher (Whirlpool GU2475XTVY3) : Panel button short / bad contact.
My love hate relationship with dishwashers. ( Whirlpool GU2475XTVY3 must be about 10 years old
- I hate these things as I do a better job faster any day, but my wife insists we use it.
Today the panel LED started blinking very fast, The repair sheet included in the machine, ref : GU2475XTVY0 Tech Sheet - W10142800 - Rev C.pdf
Says that flashing LED indicate a shorted panel. Oh boy I remember an substance running down on the front panel last week.

So I follow these instructions : checking circuit using the diode function of a multimeter.

And find that the Delay button has voltage when none should be present, when pressed it reads .5 volts like all the other buttons.

Button pressed : expected voltage

So clearly the panel has short / bad resistance. I will leave to to dry out , Given the replace part if worth about $300 CAN (https://www.reliableparts.ca/product/inv_15147239 )
I am wondering if there are any tricks for drying these types of press contacts.
I thought of heating the entire strip with a heat gun to see if I can pull off the assemble but that will probably destroy it.
Also thinking of spraying some WD-40 from the back side, to chase away the humidity.
Any other tricks I don't know about ?
