Disposable Masks - Medical Grade

Last update: Nov 21, 2020
The following is a listing of medical grade ASTM Masks or EU Type masks available online for Canadians. Unless otherwise indicated, masks are made in China.
Majority of masks purchased at stores are not medical grade (i.e. not tested for fluid resistance). They are definitely more expensive than non-medical masks.
Price was correct as of time of posting, excluding tax and delivery.

^ Have you come across any boxes with the labels that say "anti-fog" or "fog-free"? Thanks in advance!

Why would a face mask be anti-fog or fog-free?

Do you mean face shields?

The poster meant an anti-fog strip on face masks - it's more of an issue for people who wear glasses or sunglasses with hot weather out/cool air in.

Exactly. Some Made in Vietnam 4-ply masks specifically had on the label "anti-fog", but the Chinese supermarket where I saw them have been sold out on my last few visits.

Would be great if I could find anti-fog masks like the ones in the link below.

I have never heard of this... interesting....

I have to wear masks at work myself and fogging has been a real problem with the face shield or goggles.

I doubt if Thinka masks are really ASTM level 1 mask. This brand can also be found on Amazon. Although Thinka claims their masks are of ASTM level 1 quality, the certificate says its quality is certified at "product standard GB/T32610-2016" which is a Chinese non medical mask standard, which we can commonly find in Costco or grocery stores these days.

I have been told masks are deliberately marked as non-medical/certified at non-medical standards despite meeting ASTM requirement to avoid red tape. The reality is, unless you have a lab at your disposal, ASTM 1/2/3 is really meaningless and you have no choice but to trust their rating.

Shop with your eyes wide open.
