If you have a Costco membership, the winix c535. Comes with 2 years of hepa filters.

Yes, they work. Make sure you get one that is a true HEPA system.

Yes, it is very hard to watch this video.
They need to show how much particles the filters remove (before and after) in a control environment.
Flow is just one of the parameters.
Who funded this test? CBC voluntarily spent all this time and money? Honeywell funded the test?

I have one. I guess it might work in a small sealed room if left running for a while, but in general no, I don't detect any beneficial effect. People with more sensitivity to air pollutants might detect more effect, but I would speculate that some of it may be placebo effect. I applaud Marketplace for making the effort to test them.
