Do you qualify for a bonus if you find a bank job after March?
I know the banks offer a year end bonus if you are with them before March but what if you join them after? Is it possible to qualify from for even a partial bonus ?

Yea, I got a bonus and was there for 6 months before year end. Probably not as big as the other guys though.

They do it by quarter I believe.

This is TD bank and when I worked there like 10 years ago
I assume it's still the same.
And yes your bonus is pro-rated based on months you work there... I started in Sept and still got a bonus, not as big but still got one...
But anyone working today there can tell me if the same applies.

The only time you will not get a bonus is when you start near end of year.
When I first started working approx 6 years ago, I started mid Aug and didn't get a bonus.
This year I switched to another financial institution, started in November and didn't get a bonus

Probably depends on the bank / department but mine will pay a bonus pro-rated to the fiscal year end. Join in March and you'd get credit for the 6-7 months until end of October, so about half your normal bonus.

This is one of those things where it'll be best for you to make sure you negotiate it in as a condition

Not a bank, but most places I have worked pro-rate the bonus. Last year I got half of what I got this year, because I only worked for 6 months.
