Documentation required to register (plate) a car in Ontario

I checked with ServiceOntario what documentation I needed to register and plate a replacement car (for my trashed one) using the old plates which still have a valid sticker.
Was told:
1. Ontario Safety Certificate
2. Ownership with original signatures
3. Bill of Sale with original signatures

At the time I wwas still looking to get a used car from Quebec since there were no suitable ones available in Ontario.

Now I ended up getting a used Mazda from a Mazda dealer in Toronto.
Normally the dealerwould deliver the car already plated, but since I want to use my existing plates, they were planning to deliver the car, drive it to my house, using the dealer plate (or 10-day transit sticker) and do the registration here.

My question (preferable to a dealer if one checks this forum)
Do I still need the three items I listed above or is it assumed that the dealer has performed the safety.
Is an ownership document required if the car is sold by a dealer?
Can the dealer register the car (I had sent the dealer the permit of the old car) and I just attach the plates when the car gets here?
The dealer seems to be a bit confused when I mention the three items above that are required for registration, but perhaps I'm confused - ie the process is different for a car bought privately and different again for a car bought from a dealer in Quebec vs a dealer in Ontario.

If you are working with dealer, just follow their directions as they do this for a living.

Is there a specific reason you are not picking it up from the dealer the way car buying mostly works?

Would you give them the plate portion of ownership and the plates prior to the delivery date so they can deal with the paper work at service Ontario on your behaves and screw the plates on. They likely charged you admin fees so they can do all the works. Dealer would do the safety and they already bakes the cost into the price of the vehicle. On the delivery date, just show up and drive off.

Assuming process is same as using old plate on a new car bought from dealership. You can simply send your plate # and current ownership to dealer so they can get registration done before delivery . Then dealership will ship you the car under their plate. And you can put in the old one yourself.

Dealer is in Toronto. Our car got trashed so there is no easy way for us to pick up the new car. All dealers we dealt with offered to deliver the car to our home.

That's basically what's happening now other than that the dealer is driving the car to my house.
I just want to make sure I don't end up having to go to ServiceOntario and they need some paperwork I don't have.

Thanks,
This turns out less complicated than I envisioned.
Every car I bought previously from a dealer, new or used, came with brand new plates.
This time the junk yard where my old car ended up told me to take the plates and use them on the new car, that's why I thought the process was more complicated.

The dealership will register the vehicle for you. You won't need to do anything else upon taking possession of the vehicle.

Were you able to get the insurance company to reverse their decision and pay out your claim that they denied?
