Yes, they have supervisors that just won't quit. Last weekend on the way to Blue Heron Casino, me and my buddies stopped off at Tim Hortons in Port Perry. We got there just in time as there was only one person ahead of us. It took a few minutes for them to get their order. Well, it was finally our turn and it took about 5 minutes to get our order which was simple a Triffle & Cheese Danish. I asked for a strawberry banana trifle, she said that she thinks it's cherry, so she went to go ask the cook (she insisted). She came back a couple minutes later and said that it was cherry, even though the sign said strawberry. I found that a bit odd. So I decided to get the Blackforest Trifle. My buddy piped up and said can he get a spoon for that, all they had was knives and forks at the counter. Off she went to find a spoon, and she came back a couple of minutes later with a knife. I pointed out that it was a knife, and she said she'd go back and get a spoon. I practically had to argue with her to tell her not to worry about it that I'll just use a fork. She then had difficulty operating the register. So the other person took over for her and cashed us out. We asked her about this lady, and she said that she just won't quit and that they're trying to get rid of her. Then we finally got our stuff and left, by that time the lineup was leading to the parking lot. I don't know if it's more funny or sad.mlc2000 wrote:I was at a Timmy's the other day - there was at least 25 people lined up....I was asking ymself that very same question. So flip'em a $20 and buy a timbit and ask for a roll of quarters.Absolute wrote:It's bad that Tim Horton's wont take exchanges for the new poppy quarters. A co-worker tried to get one from four different Tim Hortons, all of which told him that he would have to make a purchase first.
Apparently Tims has a company policy of not exchanging money without a purchase. When he tried to convince them that he just wanted a commenorative quarter an employee told him to leave or they'd forcibly remove him from the store. He wasn't being obnoxious, just tying up the line asking for a quarter.
