Does Best Buy ship items in original box?

I ordered a sound bar from Best Buy and I was wondering if they just ship it in original packaging with a shipping label slapped on? Or do they wrap it in something? I ask because it's a gift for someone who lives in my house and I need to know whether the surprise will be ruined if they happen to answer the door when it's delivered.

I ordered something Shop.ca and when it arrived it was just in it's original packaging with a shipping label on it.

For big stuff (e.g. TVs and speakers) they did arrived in their original box in the past. Small items like games/USB keys would come in a generic brown box or envelope.

Something like a soundbar would likely come in its original box me thinks.

Alright. I guess I'll have to dash to the door when it gets here. Thanks for your input, guys.

2 years ago I ordered two blu-ray players for Boxing Day. One came in a box, the other came with just a shipping label attached.

I'm not sure if I would have items from BB shipped anymore. For smaller items I find they'll put it into a brown box with no packing inside.

Well the item I ordered from Shop.ca that came the same way was fulfilled by The Brick. The box was even kinda banged up. Meh. I can't complain cause I got a super deal on it but I found it odd that they'd ship it like that.

Some higher end sound bars are pretty large, even in it's original package such as the overrated expensive Bose series... so OP be careful. Highly doubt those soundbars would be delivered inside another box. Wouldnt trust shipping esp. when buying expensive items. Best to buy it in-store and drive it home urself or if too large and you dont have a car/van/suv buy from the store locally and have them ship it next day rather than have it ship cross country with 50k other pieces of mail they dont care about.

They were out of stock at the stores around me (both Futureshop and Best Buy) so I didn't really have a choice. It came from Mississauga and shipped out yesterday. Didn't take long at all. If anything's wrong then Best Buy will have to replace it.

O/T: TBH all soundbars suck! I've tried and tested a dozen brand names from mid-high end. Nothing beats having a real audiophile experience with 3.1, 5.1, 7.1, or 9.1 true systems. Simple high end 3.1 to start will beat ANY sound bar system. Bar none!! In fact if you're hard for cash, start with a decent receiver, mid-high end floors, centre speaker and subwoofer for a 3.1 system... then as you save up add on extra speakers for 5.1, 7.1, etc. Unless of course you're using the sb for a desktop pc, laptop or small bedroom set like 32" or less hdtv...
