Does Rockauto always make you sign for packages

when I order from RA, they just drop them at the door - no signature

Have never signed for any rockauto packages ever

I didn't think Canada Post was requiring people to sign due to COVID, even if the package specified that signature was required.

I had 2 guns delivered to me that required signature. I wasn't home at the time and both times the guns were left right on my front porch.

do you live in an apartment? and which shipping option did you choose?

for me canada post won't even buzz and leave package in the mail room - they don't even buzz at all, just leave a stupid slip and have to go pick it up no matter what

i just ordered from RA using fedex and they brought up 4 boxes and left them at my door

ups also says signature required but due to covid they just leave it at the door as well

Never had to sign for any package, even for ones worth hundreds.

Keep in mind that your order is not actually shipped by Rockauto themselves. They don't carry any stock at all.

One of those so-called 'warehouses' ships your items using rockauto tape.
Quite possible they made a mistake in ticking off signature required.
Or maybe that warehouse/supplier have had a few claims of non-delivery lately and are protecting their butt.
