No they don’t as that’s what they essentially are.

I was about to say the same thing.

Their retail model is practically an outlet store model. Their stores are pretty much one of kinds with individual labels and sold as is, with a few items being seconds or imperfect. Also once gone, you may never see it again.

Winners is like the outlet stores of both Home sense and Marshalls, as they both have at least the quality of stuff or better than Winners.

That's why they have no online ordering (although I think they want to start it up in Vancouver or some place outside of Ontario). Everything they sell is a one-off.

Winners doesn't have the deals it used to have. Too high-priced locations perhaps?

It used to be exclusively surplus items bought from other retailers but now they also get stuff made for them. I know this applies to clothing and shoes, not sure about the household items. The clothing and shoes have limited designs and quality is not as good as the original. This is just an observation. Home goods are still a good buy although accent furniture pieces have really gone up in the past few years.

Not sure about clothing but housewares have definitely gone downhill. Bought Le Creuset and Staub pieces there years ago (albeit possibly what should have been factory seconds) as well as Riedel glasses. There are still RIedel glasses but of a much lower line (which has been greatly expanded) or incomplete sets due to breakage somewhere.

In a way, it is much like factory outlets which used to sell overstocks and seconds but even 10-15 years ago started selling made-for-factory-outlet stuff.
