Maxell Wrap'd Earphones with inline mic $1.25

Price:
$1.25
Retailer:
Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree has Maxell Wrap'd - Earphones with mic - in-ear They only had yellow bud color available at my Dollar Tree. They have flat cable for a more tangle-free operation. These sell for around $10 US on average when searching online. I picked up a pair yesterday and just tried them out. They by no means have definitive, deep bass but certainly don't sound "tinny" either. I think they have fairly dynamic decent overall rich sound, especially for $1.25!! I haven't tried the built-in mic as I will only be using them for music.

They were not located in the usual "electronics" section at the Dollar Tree store I was in, they were located in the front area of the store at an end-cap hanging from plastic strips near all the coin-type button batteries. They had about 20 sets left as of yesterday.

They come with a grey silicone carry case and an extra set of rubber cushions for each bud.

Here are the specifications as listed on the package:

Type: Ear Bud
Driver: 9mm
Impedance: 16 ohms+/- 15%
Magnet: Neodymium
Sensitivity: 92 +/-3 dB at 1KHz
Frequency Response: 20-20,000 Hz
Max Input: 5mW
Plug: 3.5mm straight plug
Cable Length: 4 feet

I am including a link to TigerDirect.com & an Ebay listing just to show the product itself, the links below are NOT the deal.

Interesting find. Did a quick search for this store - no location downtown, close to me, unfortunately.

I actually got two pairs OP, looking for another but all 3 of the dollar trees i checked are sold out or never had them. They are definitely worth the money in order to have back ups in my backpack, car, room and so on for whenever I go out and happen to want to use them on Youtube or whatever. THANKS !

Wait, these have a mic built in? I didn't even realize when I bought them in Brampton a few weeks ago. They've been sitting there unopened, look like a good backup set. If they have a mic, this is an awesome deal.

You are welcome BernardRyder...as mentioned in my OP, indeed they do have a slim built in mic …...I thought it was a pretty decent deal for $1.25 ...especially for brand-name ear buds Smiling Face With Open Mouth

Brand name? These are not the esteemed Maxell of cassette-days yesteryear. They're just cheap licensed junk that appears nowhere on the Maxell corporate website.

Agreed, true "name brand" seems to almost be a thing of the past, but for $1.25, they do sound pretty damn decent...and they have an "inline mic" to boot! Did you pick up a pair and try them? Winking Face

I can't believe TD is selling these for $15. A US Wallyworld marketplace seller is wishfully selling them for $8 shipped. Discontinued. And that Fleabay listing price is hilarious.

Then again, TD is sleazy, so that makes sense.
