$50-$60. I'm really just beginning and not sure about pricing.
there's tons of styles (bourbon, rye, scotch, to name some distinctive broad strokes, and variations within each). you can read about it in review sites: whiskey review sites. One thing I've learnt is that its tough downgrading in quality once you've tried anything nicer (what was once decent becomes pretty bad once you've tasted something better), therefore i'd suggest starting at the bottom. get a mickey (375mL) if you just wanna start.

Glenfiddich 12 YO, 375mL is $ 35
Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, 375mL is $ 29

are do-able starters.

Picked some of these up in Keswick they had a couple boxes left . Feel classy as hell drinking from it. Makes me want to grow a nice moustache.

These will help! Any recommendations on good moderately priced whisky?
On the bourbon side, Maker's Mark is the classic premium bourbon (like Crown Royal in Canada). Buffalo Trace and Knob Creek are excellent value. Basil Hayden is an easy sipping introduction to bourbon and Maker's 46 is my personal favourite. In general, bourbon is cheaper than Scotch. The brands listed will run you $35-$75/bottle in Alberta.

You should have just left them for folks who actually drink whiskey. Drinking anything else outta them is just not the same.
Ask me about the AMEX Air Miles Reserve Credit Card. A much better way to redeem your Dream Air Miles.

For those in Calgary, if it's not out of your way.

I was in the area and find 4 boxes at the store in Madigan Plaza, 6060 Memorial Dr.

I took one so there are 3 left.

Checked the Dundas and university plaza locations in Hamilton. Didn't find the 6 pack, though Dundas seemed to have similar glasses sold individually for $1.25
