I did not like these compared to the chamois. Feels like a wet towel once you start drying.

Are you guys just speaking about this Meguiar's one in particular or waffle weave towels vs chamois in general? Was thinking of picking up some Rag Company waffle weaves or maybe just this.

What is chamois? Plz provide link.

Never heard of rag company waffle weaves... Link?

Which rag is good for car washing?

Chamois are a good way to instill minor swirls or scratches into the paint during drying. Stick to a twisted loop microfiber or a waffle weave for best drying performance. I’ve since picked up an Ego 650CFM blowed to dry my car more quickly without any contact.

Look up Griot’s Garage PFM drying towel. It dries an entire vehicle easily and effortlessly without having to wring out the towel. It’s a bit pricey but the quality and performance reflect the pricing. Highly recommended.

The one beside schoolhouse street?

Good deal considering its regular price is $15 and only goes down to $9 on sale at cad tire or princess auto.

Picked up 6 last time these were around, going to grab 12 more if I see them. Should make great stocking stuffers.

LOL... except a comparable (real) chamois would cost ~$20 vs. $4.

Yeah, I saw the pricing and reviews before aswell. It took me a few months to decide to buy it and to try it out and I regret not buying it sooner. It drys my entire vehicle easily without having to wring it out and it leaves no streaks or any lint strands at all. I used a Chemical Guy’s Mammoth towel before that and it left some lints so it was annoying doing another wipe up of it. You get what you pay for with this towel. Seriously.

These are good. You'll need at least 2 for a mid-sized sedan. Once they're saturated with water they don't absorb any more, even after wringing them out.

Great idea!
Going to use my leaf blower to dry my car as well. No need to worry about marks in the paint. Blowers are used in car washes as well so makes sense.
