Two weeks ago the Somerset Street store in Ottawa had a lot of Marvel Star Wars graphic novels. Last week a lot of DC titles appeared. I remember Superman, Wonder Woman and some obscure characters. They all seemed oriented toward older readers.

Whole slew of titles:
Avengers, Ultimate X-men, battle world one offs, Warzones one offs, iron man, kazar, Superman, Batman, green Arrow, JLA Darkseid war, and a bunch of others.
Will try and attach a pic for reference.

The Elgin Street store in Ottawa has different Marvel titles (X-Men, etc.) than the Somerset street store. They also have some DC titles. The Elgin store also has the newer $4 wireless phone chargers.

Those are essentially the same titles (plus others) that I found in the Saskatoon area.

$4 for the hard covers and $3 for the soft covers.

There were 3 distinct “waves” of the books over a 2 week period.

When you consider all the dollarama stores across Canada, how does that bode for comic sales if both Marvel and DC are clearing them out like that?

What would Dollarama pay for each book? $1?

None on st Mary's in Winnipeg.

Wouldn't be surprised if Winnipeg didn't get any, never end up finding any of these Dollarama deals.

I was at 2 different Dollaramas today and they both had Marvel and DC comics graphic novels. Mostly DC.

These are different from the “waves” previously.

All soft cover and priced at $4.

The last “wave” were $3 soft covers and the previous “wave” before that (early Oct.) was mostly hard covers at $4.

Still, at $4 these are a bargain!

It was in Saskatoon, but when they ship their merchandise it will be nationally so they should be at a variety (or every) Dollarama across the country.

I went to a different one again today and the shelves were full (mostly the same but a couple different ones), so they must have just stocked them today.

The cashier at one of them on Saturday said they sell very fast.
