[Dollarama] Lights of America Under Cabinet Portable Light

Found these at the Barrie Dollarama on Bayfield St. Lower shelf in lighting. Seems like a good deal. No upc so cashier scanned a $4 item instead. I bought the last two. Model 7104BN-8

Yeah, but the bulb is worth it if you still have the fixtures
Zoomer: 1 account for family and planning to leave for good in 2023
Koodo too: for a phone and locked to 24 months but was a good deal.

Crap, I went CFL for under-cab lighting just before LED's were readily available. I'd been dreading finding replacement bulbs ever since. Just exactly how hard did you look?

Saw these before. Passed because of the CFL. I thought for the space or would take up LED light strips might be better. Where are you mounting these op?

Technically, not cfl, but t5 linear fluorescent.
F4T5CW bulb.

Not very strong light, but surprisingly versatile. The quality suits me just fine.

And for the cfl vs led, I will always go for cfl. New is not always better in my experience. LEDs never managed to impress me and still don't. Plus fluorescent lighting can do things LEDs can't... Then there is the halogen thing, I needed a halogen lamp specifically to replicate an experiment published an year ago to the letter and not introduce additional variation on my own... And was surprised I couldn't find what I needed, have to order from abroad... So yeah, having a choice of light emitting technology is wayyyyyyy better than not...

Don't have the exact model of the bulb I needed (either T4 or T5 but an unusual size), and aside from big box stores I checked few electrical supply houses in Ottawa. I think one of them quoted me something like $40 per bulb and it was special order. Light fixture was $20 at Home Depot... I gave up and started looking for an LED replacement (which wasn't easy back about 2 years ago)
