Although many of them are junks, There's nothing wrong with an item in Dollarama which can be useful aka hot deal, mostly because it's much cheaper here

Sure, but a regular priced item is not a hot deal.CertainSomeone wrote: ↑ Although many of them are junks, There's nothing wrong with an item in Dollarama which can be useful aka hot deal, mostly because it's much cheaper here
I.e the recent soap dispenser which was sold at Costco for $20+ for 2 but can be found $4 at Dollarama

So my that measure we should post something like a Chevy Spark as it’s 1/10 the cost of a Mercedes S600 and they are both cars (at MSRP)

same same but different.karlb wrote: ↑ So my that measure we should post something like a Chevy Spark as it’s 1/10 the cost of a Mercedes S600 and they are both cars (at MSRP)
Let’s not confuse regular prices between stores for different, it “similar” things, with hot deals. .
Getting this on clearance at a Dollarama is a hot deal. Paying regular price isn’t.

You're clearly not getting the point, if the chevy spark was pretty much exactly the same as the Mercedes at 1/10 of the price, then yes. This is pretty much the exact same product but 4 dollars.karlb wrote: ↑ So my that measure we should post something like a Chevy Spark as it’s 1/10 the cost of a Mercedes S600 and they are both cars (at MSRP)

I don’t think any regular priced item like this is a deal.MarkF56792 wrote: ↑ not sure why you are so angry about this. is it that big a deal ?

Few months ago, someone posted the Meguiars Drying Towel they were selling for regular price of $4. This costs $18 everywhere else. Although it is their regular price it was a hot deal. Sometimes a hot deal isn't whether it is a regular price or not, but rather the price compared to the market. Also, someone like me would never have even known to go check Dollarama unless it was posted here.
