Time to see if the local Dollarama have them.

Also how well do these stick on? Does it come off in cold or heat if the car is parked outside?
Proud to be an Indian.

Is that statement specific to this product or with most other/similar products?

Small dab of Vaseline under the suction cup before applying to windshield will keep it held firm.

Also,
1. Stick the suction cup on a flat (not curved) section of the windshield.
2. Don't stick on the dashboard where the surface is textured or not absolutely flat.

Finally found one (last unit so don't bother to ask location). It's a softer rubbery material under the suction cup. Very tacky. No need to add dab of vaseline to fill any air gaps. Just wonder how it will hold up to the cold?

I’ve never had one fall off because of the cold but every now and then I’d come back to my car in the summer and find it on the floor of my car.

Might be that whatever air is left inside expands with heat and it starts to let go from the weight just a little bit at a time.

And during winters it's probably the condensation if anything but it was probably a bad place..to mount it.

Where do you stick the base, dashboard or windshield? And if dashboard, is it a smooth or textured (e.g. fake leather grain) surface?

Smooth plastic. It usually only happens once or maybe twice a year but I attribute it to me not doing a perfect installation.
